Sometimes cars advertise their features on the outside of the car to show your wealth to the peasants. It gets weird sometimes. But whats the weirdest?
I'm gonna go with the ABS center. I know I just posted about them but some other people started posting other weird stuff too. So I'm running with it.

If you had outsource the suspension to someone, what does that say about the build quality on the rest of the car?

I saw these tires on a Fiat at Pebble Beach. I think they're non-skid

Another GM thing: Interior badging. As if you didn't already know what car you were driving.

I always get a kick out of this oxymoronic one.

This x 1000000 me and my dad were talking about this a while back.
Maybe its just because they're standard on everything now...

cars that have an SOHC badge on them. Usually you keep that sort of thing to yourself.

A lot of these cars were utterly forgettable so every now and then the driver needed a reminder.

I fucking love that interior.
Overheard at product development
Employee: Hey boss, the new smog-o-matic V8 doesnt make any power and we added 300lbs in 5mph bumpers, im concerned about the Camaro being sporty
Boss: Fuck it, just put the name of the car on every vertical and horizontal surface of the interior. They'll think thats Bitchin'

I saw a set where the owner tried to cover it up.

Rumor has it that it was spawned the day a GM worker replaced the M&Ms in the candy dish with quaaludes.

perhaps trying to say they have OHC at all is better than the NASCAR tech?

Just in case, some day you're driving along and happen forget what car you're in. Now that's forward thinking.

I'll bet there's at least one asshole that has this interior... and still spells it "Camero"

just keep stacking them on like the yearly stickers on a licence plate
![]() 09/18/2014 at 14:31 |

I'd rather have push rods than an sohc. No timing belt to change. Also is NASCAR tech a bad thing? They go over 200MPH.

I don't have a picture of it, but I have heard that the Mazda 626s sold in the UK had an "Air Conditioning" badge on the trunk.

I will hear it for this...but I always hated the Gold Chevy Bowtie. Just looks weirdly cheesy and low budget.

I got baited pretty hard there. I don't even like nascar. sigh. Only a half hour left to work though.

There are so many things about the 3rd gen Camaro that is a WTF and this is the KING of WTF was GM thinking.

I do understand how VW's version worked, yes. I had a Karmann Ghia with one for a brief period. I did get a kick out of driving it, but it was slow as molasses. It was basically a vacuum activated clutch with a torque converter for idling. Subaru on the 360, and a few other makers, had an auto-clutch stick that used magnetized iron filings mixed with magic that I find totally confusing when it's been explained to me.

I always thought it odd that Cadillac had designer series for years and now they have designer parts like this gauge cluster designed by Bulgari in the base XLR.
And then they design a watch named after the car
.
